Corrugated Box Manufacturer
When a national manufacturer of Corrugated Boxes decided to expand and modernize its northwest operations, they were presented with a number of storage challenges. The new presses and conveyor modifications took up valuable floor space, leaving little room for dies/tool storage and no cross-plant access for foot traffic. Management was also looking to enhance the plants marketability to customers by providing a visual overview of the entire operations.
Management knew they needed some type of structural mezzanine to accomplish the task. They also had a very limited budget. After receiving conceptual designs and budgets from a number of companies, they decided to partner with Easyup, a division of EPI. Easyup had demonstrated prior experience and had done the most thorough job of addressing their needs.
EPI/Easy Up provided approximately 7,000 square feet of free-span mezzanine, along with material lifts to service the mezzanine and custom storage racks to house their box-cutting dies. EPI/Easy Up ran the project from the quoting stage to the final installation, including seismic calculations, engineered drawings and permits. The result is an organized warehouse that improved both the efficiency of the company, as well as the image of the company in the eyes of its customers.
When asked about the project, the General Manager had this to say: “We could not be more impressed with the finished product. Most importantly the after-sales support that we have received from EPI has been exceptional. We would not consider an alternate supplier for our materials handling and storage products needs.”
